EBC Hochschule

Background

EBC University, one of Germany's most traditional private universities, offers practice-oriented, internationally oriented bachelor's and master's degree programs in the fields of economics and health at its locations in Berlin, Düsseldorf and Hamburg.

Assignment

With the appointment of a new president, EBC University is aiming for significant digitalization. In addition, a new approach is to be taken in corporate communications and in addressing potential students, moving away from classic media relations and using an integrated mix of media relations, events, and owned, paid and earned media.

Idea and Implementation

We developed a positioning for the university that conveys a strong sense of unity and developed an overarching communications strategy. We supported the creation of content and distribution strategies for all social media channels and implemented a blog with additional content for the EBC website. Under the name “UNITE by EBC”, the blog conveyed topics and wordings that were relevant to the target group in order to communicate relevant content and strengthen the new positioning.

Result

The communication of the change of leadership and the positioning of the university as a digital educational institution were successful. In addition, we were able to achieve an increased reach of the social media channels and a successful blog launch.
