Indaver

Background
The Indaver Group is one of the leading providers of high-quality disposal solutions for industrial companies and the public sector in Europe. At the Hamburg site, the high-temperature incineration of hazardous waste is the core business of the efficient disposal center. The company is therefore considered a hazardous incident operation and is therefore subject to special safety regulations, which must be communicatively supported, especially in the area of crisis prevention. For this purpose, ORCA supports van Loon in corporate communications at the Hamburg site.
Assignment
Our task was to establish efficient crisis communication structures, including a functioning operational and organizational structure at the site, in order to meet the requirements of a hazardous incident operation and to ensure secure, transparent and confidence-building communication in the event of a crisis.
Idea and Implementation
To do this, we analyzed all relevant stakeholders and local conditions in advance, as well as existing communication structures. On this basis, we developed a crisis communication manual for the Hamburg site that fits into Indaver's Germany-wide crisis structure. The components include site-related information, the composition of the crisis team, reporting chains, internal and external points of contact, and placeholder materials for internal and external communication. We also support the regular crisis training and ensure through comprehensive issues management that no relevant critical issues pass us by. In addition, we build strong relationships with local media in the interest of crisis prevention.
Result
By implementing these measures and providing ongoing support through regular training and issues management, we prepared the Indaver Group's Hamburg site to respond quickly and efficiently in the event of a crisis. The established crisis structure ensures clear processes, transparency and the trust of all stakeholders in the company's security and communication measures.
