Voith

Background
Voith, a global technology company, is known for its comprehensive range of products, services and digital solutions. The family-owned company is active in key markets such as energy, raw materials and automotive, areas that have a high potential for crisis.
Assignment
Our main task was to implement a global crisis communications manual. This included strategic advice on developing global communication structures to prevent and manage crises, as well as the internal communication of the new organizational structure and guidelines.
Idea and Implementation
To ensure optimal preparation for potential crisis situations, we conducted real-time crisis simulations with the real executive crisis management team, including media training and Shitstorm simulations. These exercises served to comprehensively test the crisis communication manual. Based on the insights gained from the training, we ensured continuous adaptation and improvement of the manual.
Result
Establishing robust and efficient crisis structures has transformed Voith into a global player that is well prepared for emergencies. Our strategic advice significantly improved crisis communication between the various communicative “Centers of Competence” (COC) in the four global regions of the group. Within the established framework, the communication centers are now able to communicate with their stakeholders largely autonomously in the event of a crisis.
