Willke Unternehmensgruppe

Background

Since 2019, we have been shaping the internal and external corporate communications of the family-run Willke Group. At that time, the medium-sized company was facing several challenges. On the one hand, it had to establish itself as a full-service provider in the highly competitive market of track construction, sharpen its profile and build a solid brand presence. On the other hand, the shortage of skilled workers in the construction industry made the situation more difficult, as it became increasingly difficult to attract and retain qualified employees.

Assignment

Our task was to position the Willke Group as a leading 360° service provider in the track construction industry, to strengthen awareness and trust among potential customers and partners, and at the same time to attract qualified specialists. It was also important to reorganize and strengthen the internal communication structures of the decentralized company with several locations.

Idea and Implementation

We met the challenges with targeted internal and external communication strategies. To this end, we developed various employer branding measures to position the company as an attractive employer and counteract the shortage of skilled workers. We developed an image film, various moving image formats, flyers for trade fairs and a social media strategy for various platforms. A paid media strategy and a targeted recruiting campaign ensure qualified applications and support the recruitment of young talent. Internally, we developed new information structures and processes to create new impulses for employee retention. These include workshops, coaching and employee surveys, as well as the introduction of a newsletter, video formats and an internal information platform. In addition, Orca van Loon acts as a press officer for the Willke Group.

Result

With now ten companies, seven departments and around 500 employees, the company has been able to establish itself on the market as a one-stop shop. Internally, we have established long-term communication processes that have a high participation rate.
