Already for the seventh time Superbrands granted this year it’s highly regarded award in Germany and chose within the Awarded Superbrands Germany Gala on the 15th of May 2017 in Berlin the most successful product and company brands worldwide.
Superbrands stands for an independent international organisation with it’s headquarter in London, which has been honoring outstanding brands from 88 countries for more than 22 years. Yet, one should not expect a typical “ranking” but rather a “Top 100”, whose achievements and performances are to be highlighted in a unique way. These are brands that convince through stability and quality, even in difficult economic times, and that have been occupying an outstanding position and prominence within the economic field for years.
This organisation has an excellent reputation worldwide and publishes its documentation about the strongest brands in the form of a large-sized illustrated book in the relevant country. A double page is dedicated to each chosen brand which presents extensive information and meaning. This year the book of Superbrands Germany 2016/2017 was published on the 15th of May during the Tribute Events.
The independent evaluation and nomination of the Superbrands for every country was carried out by a team consisting of well chosen and competent personalities coming from economy, politics, media, agencies, and universities. Based on preceding market research studies, the same set of global criteria was considered and factors like brand dominance, customer relationship, goodwill as well as longevity and brand acceptance were taken into account.
We are proud that Dietrich Schulze van Loon, managing partner of ORCA van Loon, got to be a part of this year’s jury where he could make use of his expertise that he gained in 30 years of consultancy experience. In 2007 Schulze van Loon was already a member of the Superbrands Germany jury and had the honour to choose one of the outstanding product and company brands.
Wotan Wilke-Möhring was awarded the prize for the "Personality of the Year". You can watch the video here:
